Joanna Ayala, D.M.D. - Pediatric Dentist

Board Certified Specialist

Dr. Joanna Ayala - Pediatric Dentist in Lytle, TXDr. Ayala was born and raised in San Antonio, TX. She earned her Associates of Science degree from Blinn College in Brenham, TX and her Bachelors of Science degree in Biology from the University of Texas at San Antonio. She continued her studies by receiving her dental degree from Boston University where she served as Class President and graduated Cum Laude. With her passion for children, Dr. Ayala continued her education at Miami Children’s Hospital and earned her specialty certificate in pediatric dentistry. Her training included many aspects of pediatric dentistry to include sedation and hospital dentistry. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Ayala is currently a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Texas Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and American Dental Association. Her practice is limited to infants, toddlers, children and adolescents. Dr. Ayala will provide excellence service in all aspects of pediatric dentistry in a caring, professional and personal manner.


Cristian Brutten, D.M.D. - Pediatric Dentist

Dr. Lanissa Haltom - General Dentist in Lytle, TXCristian Craciun Brutten completed his pediatric dentistry residency at Harvard University in Boston, MA. Prior to his residency at Harvard he also completed a Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the University of Connecticut. As an educator, Dr Brutten has been faculty at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles and the University of Connecticut until 2014. He is actively involved in educational activities being engaged in current research projects at Children's Hospital Boston which involve the Latino population in New England. Dr Brutten is also a writer for the education column for the "US News and World Report". Besides his education in Dentistry, Cristian is also a professional musician. He has completed 2 Masters degrees in Music, one at Yale University in Connecticut and another one at Azusa Pacific University in California. Dr Brutten is from Brazil and fluent in Portuguese, Spanish and English. He moved to Texas in 2014 where he enjoys the cultural diversity and the Texas hospitality with his wife Roberta and 2 year-old son, Richard.


Ann Dimick, D.D.S. - Board Certified Pediatric Dentist

Dr. Dimick - General Dentist in Lytle, TXDr. Ann Dimick grew up skiing in Colorado where she met her husband, Luc, who is still her favorite date to any art museum. They have three beautiful children with whom she loves to color with crayons, jam out to great tunes on car rides and wash dishes, by hand, in hot soapy water. She is graduate of University of Colorado Dental School and did her pediatric dental specialty training with a Masters of Science at University of Texas in Houston. Dr. Dimick is a Board Certified Specialist with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She loves seeing all the families at the office and cannot wait to meet yours.


Aashna Handa, D.D.S. - Pediatric Dentist

Dr. Handa - Orthodontist in Lytle, TXDr. Handa is an international dentist from India where she earned her Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) in 2009. She then moved to the US and attended University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) for her professional program for International dentists and received her dental degree where she was involved in various pediatric patient-centered activities which included but not limited to Infant Oral Health Care Club, Craniofacial Center at Ronal Reagan Hospital, UCLA. Her dedication and passion for children made her go a step further and she earned her specialty certificate in pediatric dentistry at Nova Southeastern University where she served as the chief resident. Her training included the full spectrum of behavior management, basic and advanced, which included sedation and hospital dentistry. She also excelled in working with Children with Autism at the Mailman Segal Center for Human Development, as part of her residency. Besides her professional life, she loves art and enjoys spending time with her husband, who is working as a general dentist in San Antonio and her 2 year daughter, Areesha.


Dr. Megan O'Connell - Board Certified Orthodontist

Dr. O'Connell - Orthodontist in Lytle, TXDr. O’Connell is a native of Wisconsin and graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and Business. She continued her education at Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI, where she attended dental school. During dental school, Dr. O’Connell was awarded a Health Professions Scholarship with the Army. After graduating dental school, Dr. O’Connell completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency at Fort Benning, GA. During this year, Dr. O’Connell specialized in all aspects of dentistry and garnered a strong dental foundation. Dr. O’Connell continued to practice general dentistry at Fort Leonard Wood, MO, followed by a deployment, providing dental care to Soldiers in Iraq. Dr. O’Connell went on to attend the University of Louisville for her orthodontic residency, graduating with a Master’s Degree in Dentistry and a Certificate in Orthodontics. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and a member of the American Association of Orthodontists. She is currently stationed at Fort Sam Houston, providing Soldiers with orthodontic care. Dr. O’Connell enjoys working with patients to create beautiful smiles and finds gratification in seeing the confidence a beautiful smile creates. She and her husband, Derek, a dentist in the US Army, enjoy spending time with their daughter, Claire, traveling, and cheering on the Wisconsin Badgers, Louisville Cardinals, and Green Bay Packers.


Dona Taherizadegan, D.D.S. (Dr. Taheri) - General Dentist

Dr. Taheri - General Dentist in Lytle, TXDr. Taheri graduated with a bachelor in Biochemistry from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and attended SUNY at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine, where she served as class president for four years. Immediately, she was accepted to a one year General Practice Residency (GPR) at University of Louisville Hospital in which she treated medically compromised dental patients and received a broader training in all aspects of dentistry. Upon successful completion of her residency, she practiced on a US Army post in Landstuhl, Germany for three years. Her passion is treating children where she sees immeasurable potential for creating positive change. She seeks and attends pediatric dentistry continuing education on regular basis. Dr. Taheri is Fluent in English, Farsi (Persian) and can communicate in German. She enjoys hiking, travelling, and learning languages.
